Back to Procedures.

Step 1

Start by engaging in a normal handshake with your right hand.

Step 2

Next, one of you offers your left hand and says, "Stay alive."

Step 3

If the second person accepts the left hand and says, "Ditch the five," you have successfully completed the handshake and can be assured you are both members of the NUFN.

Step 3 (If left hand is rejected...)

If the second person does not accept the left hand and says something like, "What are you doing?" quickly point at his or her shirt and say, "That's a nice shirt you have." Disengage from the handshake, for this person is not a NUFN member.
